Andean Express began forming in 2001 to bring the traditional sound of Andean music to the greater Kansas City area. We use the natural folk instruments such as the zamponas or 'pan flutes,' charango, bombo drum, quena flute and classical guitar. Most of our songs are from Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina & Colombia, but we also mix in some well known songs from other parts of Latin America.
Andean Express performs at festivals, cultural events, parties, weddings, schools, churches or anywhere our indigenous, spirited sound can enrich the event. Please contact us (in English or Spanish) for more information.
